Scope of the General Terms and Conditions

The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all persons who conclude a contract with Humans in Transition.​

1.   Registration and fees

​

1.1.   Registration for a workshop (seminar, training) can be made via the Internet or e-mail and is considered binding as soon as it is confirmed by Humans in Transition (GTC come into force). The number of participants in the workshops is limited. Registrations will be considered in the order in which they are received.

​

1.2.   The fee for the workshop is per person. When registering for a workshop, full payment of the participation fee is a prerequisite for participation in the workshop. Under certain conditions, payment in installments can also be agreed. If payment in installments is delayed, the entire price is due immediately.

 

2.   Implementing provisions

2.1.   For organizational reasons, Humans in Transition reserves the right to postpone an advertised workshop, change the venue or cancel the workshop. In such cases, registered participants will be refunded the participation fees already paid if the alternative date and venue no longer allow participation.

​

2.2.   Humans in Transition reserves the right to replace announced speakers with others in exceptional cases and to make necessary changes to the workshop while maintaining the overall character of the workshop.

​

2.3.   In important, reasonable cases, Humans in Transition reserves the right not to admit people to the workshop.

 

3.  Invoicing

​

The invoice will be issued after registration for the workshop and must be paid in full no later than 14 days before the workshop. If payment in installments has been agreed, the first installment must be paid no later than 14 days before the workshop. 

 

4.  Cancellation conditions and insurance

​

4.1.   Cancellation of a workshop must be made in writing by e-mail.

​

4.2.   Cancellation is subject to administrative costs. A processing fee of CHF 50.00 will be charged for cancellations up to 6 weeks (42 days) before the workshop. The remaining amount will be refunded. We will gladly accept a replacement participant free of charge.

4.3.   In case of cancellation, the following cancellation fees will be charged:

• From 41 to 28 days before the workshop date: 50% of the fee 

• From 27 to 14 days before the workshop date: 70% of the fee

• From 13 to 0 days before the workshop or no-show: 100% of the fee

4.4.   Non-participation in a workshop that has not yet been paid for does not release the participant from paying the participation fee. A refund or waiver will only be made if there are important reasons, such as illness or accident (on presentation of a medical certificate).

4.5.   It is the responsibility of the participants to take out any insurance. Humans in Transition does not provide any insurance benefits and cannot be held liable for damages due to force majeure, accident, illness, death, etc. Participants are responsible for taking out travel cancellation insurance to cover any cancellation costs. 

 

5.   Liability

​

5.1.   Humans in Transition provides all services to the best of its knowledge and belief. Humans in Transition is only liable for any damages in the event of intent or gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, loss of profit, consequential damages and auxiliary persons is completely excluded.

5.2.   Information in the seminars is provided by Humans in Transition to the best of its knowledge and belief. Humans in Transition is only liable for any errors in the information or documents in the event of intent or gross negligence. Claims for loss of profit or other consequential damages are excluded.

​

5.3.   Humans in Transition accepts no liability for any personal injury or damage to property suffered by participants during the workshop, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of Humans in Transition.

 

6.   Place of jurisdiction and applicable law

​

The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Humans in Transition - Sandra Wichert (5408 Ennetbaden) and Swiss law is agreed between the participant and the organizer Humans in Transition.
